Austin, Texas — Dr. Christine B. Cash Education Foundation board member and Lasting Value CEO Meredith Clayton Beal brings the talents and experience of the hi-tech world to students of Huston-Tillotson College, the oldest institution of higher learning in the state of Texas. Beal, who is a Global Webmaster for Dell, the world's largest computer systems company, volunteered to provide the school with a workshop on the fundamentals of web design as a basis for future certification.

Beal enlisted the support of Lindsey Allen and the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW), a professional association dedicated to providing education, training, support and certification for aspiring web designers. Allen is head of WOW's Austin chapter and donated the curriculum on behalf of the organization.

Beal and Allen offered a two-day workshop to a number of students on basic HTML. This was the first of a series of offerings covering topics from web design, multimedia production, tv and film production skills to desktop publishing, marketing and promotion. More programs will follow as Huston-Tillotson explores partnership opportunities with the Foundation and Lasting Value.
